ANNOUNCEMENT:

Due to a shameless financial and political withdraw from the official sponsors of this festival, the organization of the third edition of the Hertzoscópio – Experimental and Trans-disciplinary Arts Festival was forcefully postponed.
The direction of the festival is working to gather optimized conditions to organize the 3rd edition of the Hertzoscópio festival during the year of 2007 (dates and location are being negotiated).
The direction of the Hertzoscópio festival deeply regrets this unhappy situation and sincerely apologizes to all participant artists.

The   Hertzoscópio – 3rd Experimental and Trans-disciplinary Arts Festival , aims to stimulate the creation and diffusion of experimental and trans-disciplinary arts through the presentation of works, concerts & performances from recognized artists & promising revelations, trying to consolidate the expression an interdisciplinary culture within the context of contemporary arts. The Hertzoscópio festival's scope comprehends the following areas: experimental music, video art, intermedia art & multimedia installations. This festival has the goal to supply formation and to valorize the emergent audience that is increasingly interested in the use of the new technologies associated with the main artistic forms of expression.
The   Hertzoscópio aims to act as a new dynamical pole for the establishment of the experimental arts, it also aims to be a platform for questioning and exchange of trans-disciplinary experiences that open and enlarge our concepts and prejudices about art. The Hertzoscópio festival will serve as an open door towards difference and limitless creation.

The Hertzoscópio festival will present the following activities:

• Concerts of experimental music, electronics & electroacoustics
• Intermedia Performances (sound + video)
• Experimental Video Art Exhibition
• Workshops
• Conferences about the problematic of the use of new technologies associated to creative artistic expressions .
